After going to Catholic school for more than 10 years, they've said (The Catholic Church) that all of the Old Testament stories are just that. Stories. Maybe a beleiveable event happened that was warped into a huge tale, but the stories are only to get a message out.

THE CATHOLIC CHURCH does NOT consider, for example, Adam and Eve, to have really existed. They're not idiots. They know that it is impossible and proven scientifically that they were not the first humans.

The Cross is not an idol. It is a symbol of something greater, and when 'God said' do not take false idols before me, he was telling us that we should not worship the IDOL alone, but the God which stands before it.

And I enjoyed reading this. Very nice research and all of that. Your opinions, which they are opinions, are definitley respectable.
